Certo. Un sacco di persone dicono che la tecnologia ci allontana. Che ci isola. Altri, tuttavia, affermano che in realtà collega le persone in un modo unico. Molte famiglie che vivono in diverse parti del mondo, per esempio, possono rimanere in contatto attraverso uno schermo.
Altre persone credono che le distanze siano create per viaggiare e anche per aprire la strada verso ciò che stanno cercando.
Mapi è probabilmente una di quelle persone.
Decise di trasferirsi in un altro paese diversi anni fa, lasciando le sue usanze, i suoi familiari e amici, ma anche una città che amava da sempre e quella casa che l’aveva vista crescere.
Queste decisioni non sono facili da prendere. Penso e posso immaginare quanto fosse difficile per lei e quanto dovesse essere forte per non guardare indietro e concentrarsi solo sulla strada da percorrere. I nuovi viaggi ci porteranno sempre con quell'illusione di trovare ciò che ci renderà completi.
Ed è così che Mapi e Sam si sono trovati l'un l'altro: con l'aiuto della tecnologia.
Hanno iniziato a parlare in uno di quei siti dove incontri persone. Dopo settimane e settimane di discorsi di confidenze attraverso i loro schermi, hanno deciso di avere il loro primo appuntamento.
C'era musica latina che creava l'atmosfera, Sam chiaramente conosceva la strada per il cuore di una donna argentina!

Mapi e Sam hanno deciso di condividere la loro storia d'amore per dimostrare come la tecnologia possa connettere le persone e per mostrare che culture diverse non ci allontanano se condividono un obiettivo comune: l'amore.
Tra le montagne più belle di Cordova, Mapi e Sam hanno legato il nodo circondati dalle loro famiglie e amici da entrambi gli emisferi.
La notte ha deliziato tutti gli ospiti americani: sì, il modo di festeggiare argentino combina un sacco di emozioni, danze e risate contagiose.
Fa tutto parte della nostra cultura e accettarla come la tua apre la strada a un mondo in cui le distanze ci avvicinano.

Sure. A lot of people say that technology drifts us apart. That it isolates us. Others, however, claim that it actually connects people in a unique way. Many families who live in different parts of the world, for example, can be digitally gathered together through a screen.
Other people believe distances are created to travel through them, and also to lead the way towards finding what they are looking for.
Mapi is probably one of those people.
She decided to move to another country several years ago, leaving behind not only her customs, family and friends, but also a city she always loved and a home that saw her grow up. These decisions are not easy to make. I think and I can imagine how hard it all was for her, and how strong she was not to look back and only focus on the road ahead. The new trips we take always feed us with that illusion of finding what will make us complete.
And that’s how Mapi and Sam found each other: with the help of technology. They started talking on one of those sites where you meet people. After weeks and weeks of discovering one another through their screens, they decided to have their very first date. There was Latin music setting the mood–Sam clearly knew the way to an Argentinian woman’s heart!

Amidst the most beautiful mountains in Cordoba, Mapi and Sam tied the knot surrounded by their families and friends from both hemispheres. The night that unfolded delighted all American guests: yes, the Argentine way of partying combines a whole lot of emotion, effusive dancing, and infectious laughter. It’s all part of our culture, and accepting it as your own paves the way for a world where distances bring us closer.
